Youth Exchange (YEP)This programme has been strongly supported by the club in the past.
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) This is a four day program focusing on the development of communication, personal and professional skills in students aged 18 to 25 years. We seek to sponsor two candidates each year.
Rotary Youth Enrichment Programme (RYPEN) This is a three day personal development program for students in years 10 and 11. The aim is to build self confidence in an atmosphere of fellowship.
National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) This program targets exceptional year 11 students and is run over a two week period in Canberra in January of each year. This program gives students a first hand insight into a variety of science related careers.
RotaractRotaract is a forum for community minded 18 to 30 year olds and is based on the Rotary idea of Service before self. Rotaract has struggled over the past few years with the renewed interest in Interact it is hoped that they may become future Rotaract members.
InteractIs a high school student mentoring program aimed at building the student’s awareness of community issues and needs. Our club is associated with the Stuartholme Interact Club The club is held at Stuartholme school every second Wednesday at 12:45pm.
Four Way Speaking TestThis is a speaking competition for high school students which focus on the Rotary four way test. Our club will promote this competition again this year. Brisbane Planetariums entrant in this years contest was Michael Bates who is a year ten student at St Joseph’s Gregory Terrace.
Blue Card Emails have been sent to all club members about the importance of Blue Cards. A data base record has been kept by Lyn on all members who hold a Blue Card.
